Alan Shearer holds the record for the most goals in Premier League history, with 260 in the competition. He scored the majority of them for Blackburn Rovers and Newcastle United, and his record has stood for many years.
Single-season records
In the current 38-match format, Erling Haaland scored 36 league goals for Manchester City in 2022-23, a record for a single season. Before him, Mohamed Salah had set the mark with 32 goals for Liverpool in 2017-18.
